Basketball Game Preview: West Rusk Raiders vs. Arp Tigers

The West Rusk Raiders will take on the Arp Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. West Rusk will be strutting in after a victory while Arp will be coming in after a defeat.

Arp is hoping to do what Sabine couldn't on Tuesday: put an end to West Rusk's winning streak, which now stands at three games. West Rusk snuck past Sabine with a 48-44 win.

Keke Murphy was nothing short of spectacular: she dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Kamyah Lacy, who almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 13 boards.

Meanwhile, Arp played a tough matchup on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They came up short against Gladewater, falling 44-23. The Tigers have struggled against the Bears recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive lost matchup.

Arp's loss dropped their record down to 7-14. As for West Rusk, their victory ended an eight-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 4-7.

Everything came up roses for West Rusk against Arp in their previous meeting back in January, as the team secured a 67-30 win. In that game, West Rusk amassed a halftime lead of 34-14, an impressive feat they'll look to repeat on Friday.
