Basketball Game Preview: D'Evelyn Jaguars vs. Mead Mavericks

The D'Evelyn Jaguars will take on the Mead Mavericks at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. D'Evelyn has given up an average of 65.7 points per game this season, but Saturday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

D'Evelyn's tournament run continued when they took on Highlands Ranch on Thursday. The Jaguars took a blow against the Falcons, falling 75-47. The game marked the Jaguars' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Meanwhile, Mead was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a 60-49 hit to the loss column at the hands of Legacy. That's two games in a row now that the Mavericks have lost by exactly 11 points.

D'Evelyn's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Mead, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-3.

D'Evelyn was dealt a bruising 72-38 loss at the hands of Mead when the teams last played back in December of 2024. Can the Jaguars avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
