Lassiter extended the longest winning streak in AAAAAA Region 5 this week by beating Roswell, 28-14. The victory was the ninth in a row for the Trojans.
Milton took down Cherokee 49-7 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Wheeler's Elijah Staley and Emanuel Beal have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Staley has thrown for 673 yards this season, while Beal has 15 catches for 273 yards. Walton's Tyren Jones leads the league in rushing yards with 1854.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Etowah takes on Lassiter. As it stands, the Eagles are in fifth, while the Trojans are in first.
The Eagles led AAAAAA Region 5 in scoring this week after putting up 49 points on the Warriors.
