Baseball Recap: Ganado Triumphs

Ganado proved they can win big on Friday (they won by seven) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 3-1 win over the Hopi Bruins. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 9-2 on Friday.

The team relied heavily on Dante Curtis, who scored a run and stole four bases while getting on base in three of his six plate appearances. Ganado is undefeated when Curtis posts two or more stolen bases, but 3-7 otherwise. Jeronen Nargo was another key player, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one double.

Ganado now has a winning record of 8-7. As for Hopi, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 3-7.

Ganado has already played their next contest, a 6-2 defeat against Page on the 7th. As for Hopi, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next match, a 15-0 loss against Round Valley on the 9th.
