Recap: Stockbridge Tigers vs. McDonough Warhawks
The Stockbridge Tigers have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven contests by 20 points or more this season. They blew past McDonough 73-47. The win was familiar territory for Stockbridge who now have four in a row.
Stockbridge was led to victory by Jayla Fulks and Carrington Wilson. Fulks scored 18 points, while Wilson scored 19 points along with five rebounds and five steals. The matchup was Wilson's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Jahliya McDonald was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with six rebounds.
When it comes to explaining why McDonough lost on Saturday, one person who can't be blamed is Janique Trinidad. Despite the final result, she scored 26 points. The matchup was Trinidad's fifth in a row with at least ten points.
Stockbridge pushed their record up to 11-4 with that win, which was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the games in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 32.69 points. As for McDonough, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-10.
Stockbridge will head out on the road to face off against Lovett at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lovett comes in still looking for their first win of the season. As for McDonough, they will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Mt. Zion at 6:00 p.m.
