Volleyball Recap: O'Bryant Comes Up Short

O'Bryant lost against Boston Latin back in April, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Tigers fell just short of the Wolfpack by a score of 3-2.

O'Bryant took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 15-25, 23-25, 25-18, 15-13.

Otavio Perks paced O'Bryant's offense, picking up 28 kills. Perks got some help from Max Dong and his 45 assists. Finally, Chinaza Uyanwune kept O'Bryant's defense grounded, leading the team with five blocks.

O'Bryant's defeat was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Boston Latin, their win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 5-3.

Looking ahead, O'Bryant will face off against Chelsea at 5:15 p.m. on Friday. The Tigers are facing the Red Devils at the right time seeing as the Red Devils are stuck on an eight-game losing streak. Boston Latin has already played their next contest (against Lincoln-Sudbury), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
