Prolific Prep, IMG move up rankings as huge top 10 matchups on tap this week could create further movement.

MaxPreps Independent Top 10 Boys Basketball Rankings presented by the Army National Guard

1. (1 last week) La Lumiere (LaPorte, Ind.), 16-0

La Lumiere emphatically proved why it's the top team in the country as Michigan State commit Jaren Jackson recorded 24 points and 17 rebounds in leading the Lakers to a 69-54 statement win Saturday over No. 2 Findlay Prep at the Cancer Research Classic. La Lumiere battles High School Top 25 No. 3 Sierra Canyon (Chatsworth, Calif.) in a highly anticipated showdown at the Spalding Hoophall Classic in Massachusetts next Monday.

2. (4) Prolific Prep Academy (Napa, Calif.), 14-0
Duke commit Gary Trent Jr. dropped 29 points to give Prolific Prep a quality 86-69 victory Saturday over High School Top 25 No. 25 Wesleyan Christian (High Point, N.C.) at the Mustang Madness in Kentucky. Prolific Prep battles a surging No. 10 Huntington Prep (W.Va.) squad on Sunday at the Flyin' To The Hoop event in Ohio.

3. (5) IMG Academy (Bradenton, Fla.), 16-1
IMG Academy impressed at the Cancer Research Classic in West Virginia over the weekend. The Ascenders topped Westlake (Atlanta, Ga.) 65-58 and shellacked former High School Top 25 No. 22 Greenforest (Decatur, Ga.) 76-43 behind 4-star Emmitt Williams 20 rebounds, which set a single-game tournament record. The slate doesn't get easier as IMG Academy faces No. 10 Hamilton Heights Christian Academy (Chattanooga, Tenn.) on Friday and No. 8 Wasatch Academy (Mt. Pleasant, Utah) on Saturday.

4. (3) Montverde Academy (Fla.), 12-1
Montverde Academy fell to High School Top 25 No. 5 Memphis East (Memphis, Tenn.) 75-73 on the game's final possession at the ARS Rescue Rooter Penny Hardaway National Hoopfest. The Eagles look to rebound at the Bass Pro Shops Tournament this weekend in Missouri with potential matchups against Memphis East, No. 5 Findlay Prep or Sierra Canyon. Montverde Academy continues the grind and meets High School Top 25 No. 16 Bishop Montgomery next Monday at the Hoophall Classic in Massachusetts.

5. (2) Findlay Prep (Henderson, Nev.), 18-1
Findlay Prep dropped its first game of the season Saturday to No. 1 La Lumiere 69-54. The Pilots seek to bounce back at the Bass Pro Shops Tournament this weekend with potential clashes against Sierra Canyon, Montverde Academy or Memphis East.

6. (6) St. Benedict's Prep (Newark, N.J.), 12-1
The Gray Bees have all five starters averaging in double figures and are riding a 10-game winning streak.



7. (7) Oak Hill Academy (Mouth of Wilson, Va.), 17-2
The Warriors await a huge face-off next Monday with five-star Michael Porter Jr. and High School Top 25 No. 1 Nathan Hale (Seattle) at the Hoophall Classic in Massachusetts.

8. (8) Wasatch Academy (Mt. Pleasant, Utah), 15-2
Santa Clara commit Josip Vrankic posted 28 points in a 97-44 throttling of Manti (Utah) on Saturday. The Tigers tussle with No. 3 IMG Academy on Sunday at the Hoophall Classic.

9. (NR) Huntington St. Joseph Prep (W. Va.), 12-3

Five-star Keldon Johnson deposited 21 points and seven assists in a signature 83-77 victory over undefeated Blue Ridge (St. George, Va.) on Friday. The Irish take the floor Sunday in a big-time tilt with No. 2 Prolific Prep.

10. (NR) Hamilton Heights Christian Academy (Chattanooga, Tenn.) 15-4
Hamilton Heights Christian Academy climbs back into the rankings after going 3-0 at the ARS Rescue Rooter Penny Hardaway National Hoopfest this past weekend and notching an impressive victory over Brentwood Academy (Brentwood, Tenn.). The Hawks have a big contest with No. 3 IMG Academy on Friday at the Flyin' To The Hoop.

Keep an eye on: Hillcrest Prep (Phoenix, Ariz.), West Oaks Academy (Orlando, Fla.), Westtown (Pa.)
