Volleyball Recap: Weatherford Kangaroos vs. Boswell Pioneers

Weatherford was the 3-1 winner over Boswell when they last played one another on October 1st, but their luck changed this time around. The Weatherford Kangaroos fell 3-1 to the Boswell Pioneers on Friday. The Kangaroos have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

While Weatherford had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 19 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-19, 23-25, 25-23, 25-19.

Claire Conner paced Weatherford's offense, picking up 16 kills. Conner got some help from Carly Cienega and her 20 assists. Kennedy Robert controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Leading Boswell to victory were Brooklynn Williams and Maribel Longspaugh. Williams had six digs and two aces, while Longspaugh had 13 digs. Williams is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 15 or more in the last five games she's played.

Weatherford's defeat dropped their record down to 23-17. As for Boswell, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 21-13.

Weatherford wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 3-2 loss against Mansfield on the 29th. As for Boswell, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 3-0 defeat against Lake Ridge on the 29th.
