Football Game Preview: Hedgesville Eagles vs. Musselman Applemen

Hedgesville is 0-10 against Musselman since October of 2015 but things could change on Friday. The Eagles will be playing in front of their home fans against the Applemen at 7:00 p.m. Hedgesville has given up an average of 50 points per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Hedgesville is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Albert Gallatin on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Eagles came up short against the Colonials, falling 40-14. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Eagles came into the matchup with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' football rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 58th in West Virginia, while the Colonials are ranked 227th in Pennsylvania).

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Musselman). They put the hurt on Boonsboro with a sharp 37-14 victory on Friday.

Musselman's win ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-4. As for Hedgesville, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-6.
