Basketball Recap: Valley Christian's Win Ends Seven-Game Losing Streak on the Road

Valley Christian got their first taste of in-conference action this week and they started things off strong. They rang in the new year with a 44-36 win over the Northport Mustangs on Friday. This was payback for the Panthers, who suffered a 44-28 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Valley Christian's victory ended a seven-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-8. As for Northport, they dropped their record down to 3-6 with the loss, which was their third straight at home.

Valley Christian will welcome Mary Walker at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Northport, they will head out to challenge Wilbur-Creston-Keller at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
