Softball Recap: Brooke Comes Up Short

After flying high against Catholic Central on Monday, Brooke came back down to earth. The Bruins fell 7-2 to the Madonna Blue Dons on Tuesday. If the Bruins were looking for revenge after losing 8-7 to the Blue Dons when the teams met back in April of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Brooke's defeat dropped their record down to 10-14. As for Madonna, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 14-3.

Coming up, Brooke will square off against John Marshall at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Monarchs' pitching crew has only allowed 2.3 runs per game this season, so the Bruins' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Madonna, they will take on Toronto at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Blue Dons' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Red Knights have averaged an impressive 10.1 runs per game this season.
