Baseball Recap: Make It 14 in a Row for Chico

Chico barely beat Shasta the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Panthers put the hurt on the Wolves with a sharp 10-3 win on Tuesday. Considering the Panthers have won 11 contests by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

Jaden Neugebauer was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. What's more, he posted three RBI, the most he's had since back in March. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaxon Tweedt, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

The victory keeps Chico at an undefeated 14-0. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.2 runs on average this season. As for Shasta, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-8.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Chico beat the Wolves by a score of 5-1 later that day.
