Basketball Recap: Urbandale Comes Up Short

Urbandale won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Friday. They came up short against the Valley Tigers, falling 79-53. The defeat continues a trend for the J-Hawks in their matchups with the Tigers: they've now lost nine in a row.

Urbandale's loss dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Valley, the win was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 7-1.

Urbandale will square off against Southeast Polk at 7:45 p.m. on January 31st. As for Valley, they will challenge Johnston at 7:45 p.m. on January 31st. Valley knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past eight matches -- so hopefully Johnston likes a good challenge.
