Football Recap: Maypearl's Losing Streak Snapped at Four Games

Maypearl barely beat Mexia the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Panthers blew past the Black Cats 43-21 on Friday. The win was some much needed relief for the Panthers as it spelled an end to their four-game losing streak.

Maypearl's victory was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 3-6. As for Mexia, they dropped their record down to 1-8 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.

We've got plenty of inter-district action coming up soon. Maypearl will take on rival Groesbeck at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Mexia is set to challenge their familiar foe Grandview at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
