Baseball Game Preview: Laguna Creek Cardinals vs. Cosumnes Oaks Wolfpack

For the second straight game, Laguna Creek will face off against Cosumnes Oaks. The Cardinals will host the Wolfpack at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Someone's luck will take a turn for the better: Laguna Creek has lost four straight at home , while Cosumnes Oaks has lost three on the road.

Having struggled with seven losses in a row, Laguna Creek turned things around against Cosumnes Oaks on Monday. They came out on top against the Wolfpack by a score of 7-2.

David Romero tossed a big game, tossing five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits. He is becoming a predictor of Laguna Creek's success: when he allows at most one earned run the team is 2-1 (and 4-7 when he doesn't).

At the plate, Ryan Eddy was excellent, scoring two runs while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. That's the most runs he has posted since back in February. Tyger Peterson also deserves some recognition as he scored his first run of the season.

Laguna Creek's win was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-6 and their overall record up to 6-8. As for Cosumnes Oaks, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-6.
