Volleyball Recap: Academy of Aerospace and Engineering Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Academy of Aerospace and Engineering was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Academy of International Studies Dragons. The Jets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Dragons apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Academy of Aerospace and Engineering started the match hot and won the first two sets, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. The match finished with set scores of 18-25, 16-25, 25-17, 25-13, 15-6.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Academy of International Studies to victory, but perhaps none more so than Lisa Weinberg, who had ten aces and seven digs. Weinberg is crushing it when it comes to aces: she's served at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Angie Zuluaga- Gonzalez, who had 23 digs.

Academy of Aerospace and Engineering's loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Academy of International Studies, the victory was the sixth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 11-1.
