            Football Recap: Toombs County Bulldogs vs. Vidalia Indians        
        
		
        
        
            Toombs County won the last time they faced Vidalia and  Justin Powell did his part to make sure it happened again. The Bulldogs really took it to the Indians for the full four quarters, racking up  a  56-16 victory thanks in part to  Powell, who rushed for 65 yards and three  TDs on only nine carries. He is  on a roll when it comes to  rushing touchdowns, as he's  now  punched in two or more in each of the last four games he's  played.
 Special teams  played a big role in the game for Toombs County, adding 20 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of  Gavin Fletcher, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown. Another bright spot was a punt return touchdown from  Alex Scott.

The  win (which was Toombs County's fifth in a row) raised their record to 8-1. The  victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 46.4 points over those games. As for Vidalia,  they are  on  a  five-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 1-8.
