Football Recap: Ripon Indians vs. East Union Lancers

Ripon might've scored the first points on Friday, but it was East Union who claimed the real prize. The Ripon Indians fell 45-38 to the East Union Lancers. The Indians haven't had much luck with the Lancers recently, as the team's come up short the last four times they've met.

Even if they lost, Ripon's defensive line still kept up the pressure with five sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Nathan Curless and Logan Lefebvre who racked up four sacks between them. The dominant performance gave him a new career- in rushing yards.

Even though they lost, Ripon was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 279 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 170 rushing yards in three consecutive matchups.

Anthony Morales had a dynamite game for East Union, throwing for 300 yards and five touchdowns on only 18 passes. Jackson Fay was Morales' top target, picking up 120 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
