After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Muleshoe, Sundown was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the Sudan Hornets 11-9. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Roughnecks have posted since March 15, 2025.

The win got Sundown back to even at 2-2. As for Sudan, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sundown will take on Tahoka at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Roughnecks' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bulldogs have averaged an impressive 8.8 runs per game this season. As for Sudan, they will challenge O'Donnell at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
