Baseball Game Preview: Pennington Red Hawks vs. Hun Raiders

Pennington hasn't had much luck against Hun recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. The Red Hawks are taking a road trip to face off against the Raiders at 11:00 a.m. Pennington's pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so Hun's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

While Pennington's win against Rutgers Prep wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Red Hawks skirted past the Argonauts 4-3. The victory continues a trend for the Red Hawks in their matchups with the Argonauts: they've now won three in a row.

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Hun's offense. They fell just short of Poly Prep Country Day by a score of 2-0 on Friday. The contest marked the first time this year in which the Raiders were not able to get on the board.

Pennington pushed their record up to 15-4 with the win, which was their third straight at home. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Hun, their defeat dropped their record down to 13-6.

Pennington suffered a grim 12-1 defeat to Hun when the teams last played back in April. Can the Red Hawks avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
