Basketball Recap: First Christian Takes a Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact First Christian can now relate to. They fell 44-37 to the Faith Baptist Christian Academy Crusaders on Saturday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Crusaders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 46-41 on Friday.

Faith Baptist Christian Academy's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Aimee Massey, who dropped a double-double with 15 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Sophie Sellars, who posted 13 points.

First Christian has traveled a rocky road recently having lost three of their last four matches, which has put a noticeable dent in their 18-6 record this season. As for Faith Baptist Christian Academy, the win was the tenth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 18-8.

As of now, neither First Christian nor Faith Baptist Christian Academy have any future games scheduled.
