Ezell-Harding Christian can bid farewell to their 12-game losing streak dating back to last season thanks to their game on Thursday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Lipscomb Academy Mustangs 8-6. This was payback for the Eagles, who suffered a 12-1 defeat the last time these two teams met.

Sydney Freeman was excellent, scoring three runs while getting on base in three of her four plate appearances.

The victory got Ezell-Harding Christian back to even at 1-1. As for Lipscomb Academy, they now have a losing record of 1-2.

Ezell-Harding Christian will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Pope John Paul II at 5:00 p.m. on March 17th. Lipscomb Academy will also get a bit of a break before their next matchup: they'll face off against Christ Presbyterian Academy at 4:30 p.m. on March 18th. This will be Lipscomb Academy's first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
