Master's Academy had already won six in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 11.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it seven on Thursday. They walked away with a 9-4 victory over the City of Life Christian Academy Warriors.

Nola Matz spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned (and three unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up eight Ks.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Alison Viersma, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-4. She also hit a double, marking her first of the season.

Master's Academy's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 12-2. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 14.3 runs over those games. As for City of Life Christian Academy, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Master's Academy will challenge Central at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cobras have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 13 runs per game on average), something the Patriots will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for City of Life Christian Academy, they will take on Meadowbrook Academy at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Mustangs have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 14.67 runs per game on average), something the Warriors will no doubt try to take advantage of.
