Basketball Recap: Holly Springs Comes Up Short

Holly Springs lost against Independence back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Holly Springs Hawks took a 46-35 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Independence Wildcats.

Holly Springs has also traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-15 record this season. As for Independence, the victory (which was their sixth in a row) raised their record to 20-7.

Holly Springs does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Independence, they didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 44-36 loss against Coahoma County on the 7th.
