Recap: Mt. Pleasant Cardinals vs. Leland Chargers
After flying high against the Gonzales Spartans on Tuesday, the Mt. Pleasant Cardinals came back down to earth. Mt. Pleasant was beaten by Leland 59-29 on Thursday. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Mt. Pleasant in their matchups with Leland: they've now lost three in a row.
Mt. Pleasant's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Felix Enow, who scored 9 points. Jordon Flagg was another key contributor, scoring 8 points.
Mt. Pleasant now has a losing record at 3-4. As for Leland, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Mt. Pleasant will take on Capuchino at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Leland, their homestand continues as they prepare to take on KIPP King at 5:30 p.m. on December 11th.
