Basketball Recap: Wayne Takes a Loss

Wayne lost against Stratford back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Wayne Bulldogs fell 64-54 to the Stratford Bulldogs.

Stratford got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Oliver Smithwick out in front who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 16 rebounds. The match was Smithwick's fifth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Trevor Wood, who went 7 of 15 en route to 18 points and three steals.

Wayne's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Stratford, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-5.

Wayne has already played their next game (against Asher), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Stratford has also has no score uploaded for their next contest, this one against Minco.
