Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Bishop O'Connell). Couldn't have asked for a better way to wrap up 2024 than the 77-43 stomp they got against the Ridge View Blazers. The Knights have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won five contests by 34 points or more this season.

Bishop O'Connell's win on Saturday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Darius Bivins, who went 6 of 10 on his way to 16 points along with five assists and four steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Liam Koelsch, who went 6 of 9 en route to 14 points and five rebounds.

The win (which was Bishop O'Connell's third in a row) raised their record to 9-3. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 68.3 points per game. As for Ridge View, their loss dropped their record down to 6-6.

Bishop O'Connell will be taking part in a tournament against St. John's at 7:15 p.m. on Monday. Bishop O'Connell knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four games -- so hopefully St. John's likes a good challenge. Ridge View and Great Crossing will round out the year against one another at at 3:30 p.m. on Monday. Great Crossing is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 73.4 points per game this season.
