Volleyball Recap: Sharyland's Undefeated Season over After Three Games

Sharyland was the 3-1 winner over Pharr-San Juan-Alamo when they last played one another back in September of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Rattlers fell 2-0 to the Bears on Thursday. The loss put an end to the Rattlers' undefeated start to the season.

Romina Perez paced Sharyland's offense, picking up eight kills. Perez got some help from Jazlyn Castano and her 11 assists. Castano was also solid from the service line: she led the team with two aces.

Sharyland's loss dropped their record down to 2-1. As for Pharr-San Juan-Alamo, their win (their first of the season) made their record 1-2.

Sharyland didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next match, a 2-0 victory against Pharr-San Juan-Alamo Southwest on the 14th. As for Pharr-San Juan-Alamo, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Non Varsity Tournament Opponent on the 14th.
