Softball Game Preview: San Gabriel Matadors vs. Alhambra Moors

San Gabriel is on a four-game streak of home losses, and Alhambra a 13-game streak of away losses dating back to last season. However, someone's due for a change in luck on Thursday. The San Gabriel Matadors will look to defend their home field against the Alhambra Moors at 3:30 p.m. San Gabriel has given up an average of 15.8 runs per game this season, but Thursday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

San Gabriel came up short against Montebello on Tuesday, falling 13-5.

Meanwhile, Alhambra fought the good fight in their extra-innings contest against Bell Gardens on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Lancers by a score of 6-5.

Alhambra saw eight different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jayla Wagner, who went 4-for-5 with one RBI. Sofia Audelos was another, going 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI.

Alhambra's defeat dropped their record down to 4-17. As for San Gabriel, their loss dropped their record down to 3-13.
