Softball Recap: North Penn-Liberty's Win on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Two

North Penn-Liberty won the last time they faced Northeast Bradford and things went their way on Monday too. The Mountie's pitcher stepped up to hand the Panthers a 3-0 shutout. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Mountie.

The result came thanks to Elyna Booth's shutout, as she gave up just three hits.

At the plate, North Penn-Liberty's victory was truly a team effort as five different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Haley Litzelman, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base and one run. Ava Giles also deserves some recognition as she hit her first double of the season.

North Penn-Liberty's win bumped their record up to 11-3. As for Northeast Bradford, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 8-7.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. North Penn-Liberty will face off against Williamson at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. The Mountie's pitchers better be ready for this one: the Warriors have averaged an impressive 8 runs per game this season. As for Northeast Bradford, they will challenge Sullivan County at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
