Volleyball Recap: Grand Ledge Comes Up Short

Grand Ledge lost against Zeeland East back in October of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Comets took a 2-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Chix. The Comets have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

The final score came out to 25-13, 25-17.

Allison Scanlon paced Grand Ledge's offense, picking up six kills. Scanlon got some help from Addison Cornman and her seven assists.

Grand Ledge's loss dropped their record down to 11-11-1. As for Zeeland East, their victory was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 19-3.

Coincidentally, Grand Ledge and Zeeland East will both be playing Marshall the next time they take the court. The Chix will host the Redhawks at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Comets will play them later in the day, at 10:00 a.m.
