Basketball Recap: Georgetown-Ridge Farm Comes Up Short

Georgetown-Ridge Farm and La Salette Academy squared off in some playoff action on Monday, but Georgetown-Ridge Farm had to settle for second. They took a 45-31 bruising from the Lions. The Buffaloes haven't had much luck with the Lions recently, as the team has come up short the last six times they've met.

La Salette Academy got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was JP Agbapuruonwu out in front who posted 13 points in addition to seven rebounds and four steals. Agbapuruonwu also posted a block, marking his first of the season. Benedict Blood was another key player, shooting 56% from the field on his way to 11 points and seven boards.

Georgetown-Ridge Farm's defeat dropped their record down to 5-23. As for La Salette Academy, their victory bumped their record up to 24-7.

Georgetown-Ridge Farm does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for La Salette Academy, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 65-47 loss against St. Thomas More on the 25th.
