Softball Recap: Batavia Bulldogs vs. East Clinton Astros

Batavia can now show off six landslide victories after their most recent game on Saturday. Everything went their way against the East Clinton Astros as the Batavia Bulldogs made off with an 11-1 victory. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Batavia also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2023.

Tegan Hughbanks spent all six innings played on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered only one earned run on five hits and racked up six Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't pitched less than five innings in seven consecutive pitching appearances.

On the hitting side, Batavia let Aerianna King and Landrie Layman loose on the outfield. King scored two runs and stole two bases while going 2-for-3, while Layman went 2-for-3 with two runs, a triple, and an RBI.
