Softball Recap: Rainier Falls Short of North Valley in the Playoffs

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Rainier can now relate to. They fell 9-6 to the North Valley Knights on Monday. The Columbians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Rainier's defeat dropped their record down to 10-10. As for North Valley, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a massive bump to their 11-11 record this season.

Rainier does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for North Valley, they will face off against South Umpqua on Wednesday. The Lancers will roll in looking for their 15th straight win, something the Knights surely won't give up without a fight.
