The Chandler Prep Titans will head out to square off against the San Tan Charter Roadrunners at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Chandler Prep is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.3 runs per game this season.
Chandler Prep had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the 16-run drubbing they dealt Arete Prep on Tuesday. The Titans' pitchers stepped up to hand the CHARGERS a 16-0 shutout. That 16 run margin sets a new team best for the Titans this season.
Henry Allen was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out six batters over two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and only one walk). That's the most strikeouts he has posted since back in April of 2024. He was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while going 2-for-2.

In other batting news, Isaac Swanson was incredible, scoring four runs while going 4-for-4. Those four hits gave him a new career-high. Christian Walker also deserves some recognition as he got his first hit of the season.
Chandler Prep always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .719. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.
Meanwhile, San Tan Charter waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They came within a single run of losing the streak, but they secured a 4-3 W against the Griffins. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win the Roadrunners have posted since March 1st.
The team relied heavily on Joe Markland, who scored a run while going 2-for-2. Another player making a difference was Tommy Crupi, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.
Chandler Prep's victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-3. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.3 runs on average over those games. As for San Tan Charter, their record is now 10-1.
Thursday's matchup might come down to which pitcher can control the ball better. Chandler Prep has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .444. However, it's not like San Tan Charter struggles in that department as they've averaged .535. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Chandler Prep suffered a grim 19-5 defeat to San Tan Charter when the teams last played back in April of 2022. Can the Titans avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
