Football Recap: Anadarko Starts Season with Victory Against Lone Grove

Anadarko took care of business in their home opener (barely) on Friday. In a tight contest that could have gone either way, they made off with a 36-35 victory over the Lone Grove Longhorns. The Warriors have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Longhorns, too.

Anadarko's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Napoleon Camp, who picked up 119 receiving yards and a pair of scores. Camp was no stranger to the big play, cutting upfield on a catch that went for 60 yards. Another passer making a difference was Jason Kawaykla, who threw for 199 yards and three touchdowns.

Coming up, Anadarko will head out on the road to challenge Bridge Creek at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Lone Grove, they will look to take advantage of their home field for the first time this season as they take on Plainview at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
