Softball Recap: Mt. Zion Bulldogs vs. Cedar Grove Saints        
        
		
             Mt. Zion never got on the board in their matchup last Thursday, but that sure wasn't the case in their game against Cedar Grove on Tuesday. They blew past the Cedar Grove Saints 22-9. Considering the Bulldogs have won seven matches by more than six  runs this season, Tuesday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Mt. Zion got a  massive  performance out of  Cristalina Kadree-Small, who  scored four  runs and  stole six bases while  getting on base  in all five of her plate appearances. Another player making a difference was  Lacey Collier, who  scored five  runs and  stole five bases while going 4-for-4.
 Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Mt. Zion  didn't let batters stay on the plate for long and  finished the game with eight  strikeouts. That's the most  strikeouts they've managed all season.
 Mt. Zion's win bumped their record up to 7-1-1. As for Cedar Grove, they dropped their record down to 1-5 with that  defeat, which was their fourth straight  at home.
 Mt. Zion will host North Clayton  at 5:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Mt. Zion is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 19.4  runs per game  this season. As for Cedar Grove, they will head out on the road to  face off against  Stone Mountain  at 5:30  p.m.  on Thursday. Cedar Grove is facing Stone Mountain at the right time seeing as Stone Mountain is stuck on  an  eight-game losing streak.
