Baseball Recap: Tooele Wins Going Away Against Hillcrest

Tooele won against Hillcrest last Wednesday with 15 runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Friday. The Buffaloes put the hurt on the Huskies with a sharp 15-4 victory. The Buffaloes haven't had any issues with the Huskies recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Madex Vonhatten was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, five RBI, and two runs. Those five RBI gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Jett Pratt, who went 1-for-2 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.

Tooele was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .440. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .310 or higher in five consecutive matches.

Tooele's record now sits at 6-12. As for Hillcrest, their loss was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-15.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Tooele will square off against Stansbury at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Hillcrest, they will take on Park City at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Miners will roll in looking for their 12th straight victory, something the Huskies surely won't give up without a fight.
