Volleyball Recap: Lincoln Trojans vs. Tracy Bulldogs

Lincoln was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They were a single set away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Tracy Bulldogs. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bulldogs this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-1 back in March.

Lincoln actually scored more points across those five sets (102-100), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The final score came out to 25-20, 25-22, 21-25, 14-25, 15-10.

Tracy found their leader in sophomore Ethan Juran, who had 30 digs and three aces. Those 30 digs set a new season-high mark for Juran. Christopher Pena also deserves some recognition as he had his first kill of the season.

Lincoln's loss dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Tracy, their victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 5-5.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Lincoln will square off against rival Lodi at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Tracy is set to challenge their familiar foe St. Mary's at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
