Triumph Charter has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won six matchups by 20 points or more this season. They claimed a resounding 66-23 win over CHAMPS on the road. Given Triumph Charter's advantage in MaxPreps' California basketball rankings (they are ranked 323rd, while CHAMPS is ranked 1232nd), the result on Friday wasn't entirely unexpected.
Triumph Charter found their leader in underclassman Antonio Garcia III, who scored 16 points. The game was Garcia III's tenth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Logan Jiho, who scored ten points.
Meanwhile, Central City Value came up short against Orthopaedic on Thursday and fell 42-29.
Triumph Charter's win bumped their record up to 8-2. As for Central City Value, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
