Volleyball Recap: Canon-Mcmillan's Losing Streak Is a Thing of the Past

Canon-McMillan had lost three straight headed into Thursday's matchup, but Amanda Ciolli didn't let it get to four. The Big Macs were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Mt. Lebanon Blue Devils on Thursday thanks in part to Ciolli, who had ten digs and three aces. She is on a roll when it comes to digs, as she's now had ten or more in each of the last five games she's played.

While Canon-McMillan might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Mt. Lebanon scored at least 18 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-23, 25-18.

Canon-McMillan's victory bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Mt. Lebanon, their loss dropped their record down to 0-6.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Canon-McMillan is set to take on their familiar foe Peters Township at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Mt. Lebanon will face off against rival Baldwin at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
