Softball Recap: San Lorenzo Takes a Loss

If San Lorenzo was riding high fresh off their 16-5 takedown of Tennyson last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Grizzlies came up short against the Piedmont Highlanders on Wednesday, falling 19-8. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Highlanders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 17-7 back in April.

Mariah Jack was cooking despite her team's loss, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs and two RBI.

San Lorenzo's record now sits at 4-16. As for Piedmont, they pushed their record up to 12-9 with the win, which was their third straight on the road.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. San Lorenzo will take on rival Hayward at 4:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Piedmont is set to face off against their familiar foe Tennyson at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
