Baseball Recap: Coleman Triumphs

Coleman had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the six-run drubbing they dealt Saint Thomas Aquinas on Thursday. The Cougars' pitchers stepped up to hand the Cavaliers a 6-0 shutout. Considering the Cougars have won three contests by more than five runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

The team relied heavily on Wyatt Bieber, who went 1-for-4 with three stolen bases, one run, and one RBI. Those three stolen bases gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kollin Peters, who went 1-for-3 with three stolen bases, one run, and one double.

Coleman now has a winning record of 4-3. As for Saint Thomas Aquinas, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.
