Litchfield waltzed into their matchup on Wednesday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They were the clear victors by a 10-0 margin over the Gillespie Miners. The result was nothing new for Litchfield, who have now won 14 games by three goals or more so far this season.

They hit Gillespie with a four-pronged attack, as the team got scores from McKenna Harmon (3), Chloe Law (3), Daphney Hartel (3), and Adia Melchert.

Litchfield pushed their record up to 17-3-2 with the win, which was their ninth straight on the road. Those road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 73 goals over those nine contests. As for Gillespie, their loss dropped their record down to 5-8-2.

Coincidentally, Litchfield and Gillespie will both be playing East Alton-Wood River the next time they take the pitch. The Miners will host the Oilers at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Purple Panthers will head out to face them at 10:00 a.m. on the 17th.
