Volleyball Recap: Purnell Swett Comes Up Short

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Purnell Swett can now relate to. They came up short against the Holly Springs Golden Hawks on Saturday, falling 3-0. The Rams just can't catch a break and have now endured 12 losses in a row.

While Purnell Swett was kept off the board, it wasn't for a lack of trying: they cut into Holly Springs' winning margin in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-5, 25-8, 25-11.

Purnell Swett's defeat dropped their record down to 6-17. As for Holly Springs, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-7 record this season.

Purnell Swett does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Holly Springs, they will head out on the road to take on Lumberton at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
