Basketball Preview: Wheatmore Warriors vs. Forbush Falcons
Having just played yesterday, the Wheatmore Warriors will get right back to it and host the Forbush Falcons at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Wheatmore is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51.2 points per game this season.
Wheatmore will bounce into Wednesday's matchup after beating Southwestern Randolph, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. The Warriors managed a 44-39 victory over the Cougars on Tuesday. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Cougars recently, as the game was their third consecutive win against them.

Wheatmore found their leader in sophomore Jordan Starkey, who shot 71% from the field en route to 18 points and five boards. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Starkey has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Collin Dodd, who posted nine points and three steals.
Meanwhile, Forbush lost to Elkin at home by a 75-56 margin on Monday. The Falcons haven't had much luck with the Buckin' Elks recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.
Wheatmore will have to contain Mason Dudley as he made an impact in Forbush's last game. He dropped a double-double with 26 points and 13 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Matthew Bryant, who went 6-for-10 to rack up 13 points.
Forbush's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Wheatmore, the victory got them back to even at 2-2.
