The Killian Cougars will take on the Calvary Christian Academy Eagles at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. Calvary Christian Academy took a loss in their last match and will be looking to turn the tables on Killian, who comes in off a win.
Killian was handed a ten-run defeat in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 win over Braddock.

Sebastian Perez looked comfortable as he pitched 2.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Killian is 4-2 when he allows at most three earned runs, but 2-5 otherwise.
At the plate, Killian's victory was truly a team effort as six different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Jahdon Heron, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. What's more, Heron posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in February.
Meanwhile, Calvary Christian Academy scored the most runs they've had this season on Tuesday, but it wasn't enough. They came up short against Pine Crest, falling 22-15. Even though they lost, the Eagles' still made a splash at the plate and bumped their average scoring up to 6.6 runs per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).
Carlos Lugo made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and fired off two home runs, eight RBI, and five runs while going 4-for-5. Another player making a difference was Chase Hamlett, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.
Even though they lost, Calvary Christian Academy kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 18 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least eight hits in four consecutive games.
Calvary Christian Academy's loss dropped their record down to 6-5-3. As for Killian, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 6-7.
