It's playoff time, and Lutheran Northwest had no trouble coming through when it counted. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Osborn Knights a 21-0 shutout on Tuesday. The Crusaders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matches by ten runs or more this season.

Ashley Abele was a standout: she got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Alyssa Parets was another key player, getting on base in all three of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI.

Lutheran Northwest was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of 1.000. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .300 or higher in six consecutive contests.

Lutheran Northwest's victory bumped their record up to 13-9. As for Osborn, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-8.

Looking ahead, Lutheran Northwest will be playing in front of their home fans against Memphis at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Osborn does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
