Football Recap: Stewart County Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Stewart County extended their losing streak (dating back to last season) to 12 on Friday, dropping them down to 0-2. They were beaten by the Greenfield Yellowjackets 50-18. If the Rebels were looking for revenge after losing 30-12 to the Yellowjackets when the teams met back in August of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

As for Greenfield, the win got them back to even at 1-1. The high-flying offensive performance was a huge turnaround for they considering their 12-point performance the contest before.

Westin Porter had an outrageously good game as he picked up 122 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Stewart County will venture away from home to take on Cheatham County Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The match will give the Rebels their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for Greenfield, they will head out to face off against Hollow Rock-Bruceton Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
