Softball Game Preview: Polytechnic Panthers vs. Flintridge Prep Wolves

For the first time this season, Polytechnic will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup on Wednesday. They will be playing in front of their home fans against the Flintridge Prep Wolves at 3:30 p.m. Polytechnic has given up an average of 10.2 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

Polytechnic lost 18-8 to Arleta on Friday.

Eila Chan made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole Three bases. while going 1-for-3. Lorelai Thorell also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.

Even though they lost, Polytechnic hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now struck out at most four strikeouts in three consecutive matchups.

Meanwhile, Flintridge Prep came up short against Viewpoint on Tuesday and fell 5-1.

Flintridge Prep now has a losing record of 2-3. As for Polytechnic, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-2.
